I participate in a group where privacy is very highly prized – and guarded, jealously.
I had an opportunity to “do a solid” for someone else in the group, but it meant giving him my email address… which is similar to my name… and on a whim, i did a google search.
In less than 3 minutes, I saw my full name (including my middle name), birthdate, street address, net worth, and past decade of job history.
That’s some scary shit – all public domain, all just by searching for a name.
